A Year with Female
Film Makers

My challenge is to watch 100 films exclusively by female film makers* over the course of the year.

To find out how and why I decided to spend my time watching so many many movies just click here.

Now, I didn’t want this to just be another review – we’ve got far too many of those smothering the internet, assuming a mask of originality over self-indulgence – but it can hardly be avoided in entirety. I will share a little about the director, the film, and my own musings as we go. So pick and choose as you please!

Brace yourselves – I’m no Shakespeare.

*this was my initial aim but on reflection I want to be as inclusive as I can, so will strive to include some members of the LGBTQ+ community where possible.
